This 15-inch notebook combines dual-core power
The HP Compaq nc6320 raises the bar when it comes to features offered on a business portable. There's wireless broadband, a dual-core processor, and configuration options galore. If you can't build a model that fits your business needs, you're not trying hard enough.
The 15-inch LCD screen is bright and sharp. The 1,400-by-1,050 resolution on our model might be too high for some users, but HP offers lower-res panels as well. The 4:3 aspect ratio, however, will mean a tight fit when traveling. And since you'll see a noticeable color shift when viewed from above with the lid open less than 90 degrees, this could be an issue for commuters and frequent flyers. In its favor, the panel's horizontal viewing angle is excellent for presenters.
Even with that large screen, the nc6320 weighs a reasonable 6 pounds. The 1-pound AC adapter and power cord are heavier than most, but the cord is 12 feet long (compared with the more typical 6 or 8 feet), which can be a lifesaver in a hotel room where outlets are inconveniently placed. The keyboard is quiet to type on and has an excellent feel. Buyers can choose between a touchpad with a dedicated scrolling area and a pointing stick, but not both. On the plus side, an integrated 7-in-one memory card reader (unlike most models in the roundup) comes standard.
In addition to dedicated volume buttons, HP included a Presentation button that automatically changes the PC's settings (VGA out, power-saving features off, and so on), so you can quickly connect to a projector or other external display. Unlike most of the other machines here, the sound quality from the integrated stereo speakers was actually good and plenty loud enough for others gathered around a conference table to hear. The screen delivered gorgeous color and good brightness for movies and surprisingly little smearing during action scenes.
Considering the large screen, the nc6320's battery(as the same Compaq Armada M700 Battery, compaq 319411-001 battery, Compaq Presario 2100 battery, Compaq Presario 2500 battery, Compaq Presario NX9010 battery, Compaq Presario NX9000 battery and Compaq PP2100 battery, Compaq Presario R3000 battery etc.) life was good: 3 hours and 44 minutes with Wi-Fi off and just a few minutes less (3:38) with it on. The HP's showing on MobileMark 2005 (236) puts it in the middle of the pack, and the system's integrated Intel GMA 900 graphics mean the nc6320 is no gaming rig.
HP's Info Center button launches a UI that gives quick access to a host of system utilities. You can access support and software-setup options, get help setting up and using the optional fingerprint reader, and open the wireless assistant to help you configure wireless access. And speaking of wireless access, the nc6320 has embedded EV-DO wireless broadband (with service through Verizon), making it a good choice for mobile pros (or anyone who wants to future-proof their purchase). As for security, you get TPM 1.2, the fingerprint reader if you choose it, and an optional Smart Card reader.
HP also put an emphasis on durability with the nc6320. A Mylar layer beneath the keyboard helps protect internal components from some spills, and an accelerometer can sense if the machine is falling and park the hard drive heads, so they don't damage the disk surface. There's a rigid magnesium-alloy inner frame to protect the unit from flexing, as well as raised bumpers around the keyboard to prevent it from coming in contact with the screen when closed.
All told, the HP Compaq nc6320 has everything a business user could want. And at $1,799, it's attractively priced. If you had your heart set on a widescreen notebook, then the Dell entry is a better choice. But other than that, this system is best for business notebooks.
*Editors' Note: Our tested configuration is different than what is currently on the market. For $1,799, you can find the HP nc6320 with 80GB of hard drive space, 1GB of RAM, and no LightScribe technology.

How To Remove Bios Protected Password On Compaq Armada 110?
HI I PURCHASED A COMPAQ ARMADA 110 ON EBAY AND IT CAMED WITH THE BIOS LOCKED. NOW I NEED A MASTER PASSWORD SO I CAN ACCESS THE BIOS. OTHERWISE LAPTOP IS USELESS CAN ANYONE HELP.
You can try unplugging the tower and removing the CMOS battery. This is a small battery on the motherboard. Put the CMOS battery back in, plug the tower in, and boot the machine. If this doesn't remove the password, you'll have to do a reset using the jumpers. Lookup the machine or the motherboard online for BIOS reset jumper settings
