My graphics card is the Intel 82845G and the game I want needs a DirectX9 compatibile gfx card with 64MB RAM.?
More specifically: My graphics card is the Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV (6.14.10.4342).
The game I am wanting to purchase online says it requires a DirectX9 compatibile gfx card with 64MB RAM, a CPU PIII 800 MHz of faster, DirectX 9.0c, and 256MB RAM or more is recommended.
Can anyone tell me if I have what I need to run this game?
Here is my basic computer info:
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, running Service Pack 2. I have an Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66GHz, 2.66 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 64 MB total memory, 59 MB texture memory, Refresh Rate (min/max) : 60/85 Hz.
Will it work? Is there something I can download or tweek to make it work?
I recently bought a different PC game and after loading it I received an error message that my grpahics card did not have a vortex and pixel shader... or something like that...

Terrible advice from Jason... don't take him serious, he's just answering questions for points, not to help.
Listen, your pc can easily handle that game. You are missing one important part though. A dedicated graphics card. Your current video adapter is integrated into your motherboard. That means it's sharing system resources, and its slow. You need to find out if your computer has an available pci-express or agp slot. by the age of your processor, it would more than likely be an agp slot.
It should be a brown slot above the pci... If you don't have one, you can always get a pci graphics card. They lack in performance, but they have come a long way and can easily power the game your are attempting to run here.
Tigerdirect.com you can find agp or pci video cards starting at $50 or less that can play this game. Have fun. =)
