every time my cpu gets bigger and bigger my hardrive makes noises, is this something to do with virtual memory
How can i stop it making noises??
Thanks Phil
I used to have this problem with my old old old computer, usually if the CPU usage keeps going up the hard drive will continue to keep sending information towards the CPU but since its busy the hard drive keeps spinning because it hasn't got back from the cpu naturally this happens when you have an old hard drive or when it is near max capacity (around 80-90% full) be careful your hard drive may be on the edge of failing don't overwork it or you might be in big trouble get yourself a new one and use that one as a secondary good luck
