Three Hot Selling Notebook Computers
The laptop computer market is an overcrowded field with literally hundreds of offerings available to customers. Some laptops are awfully basic models with Celeron processors while some others are full blown multimedia powerhouses. Featured here are 3 top models from the "plain Jane" to the middle of the road, to the fully loaded.
Dell Inspiron 1200 " It's actually possible to purchase a notebook computer for considerably less than $1000 and Dell offers several models below this threshold including the Inspiron 1200. This particular model is the price leader among portables particularly when deductions are figured in. A Dell advertisement has been pushing the promoting the Inspiron 1200 for just $499 after a $150For remission is received. What do you get with this model? Not an entire lot: an Intel Celeron M Processor 350 (1.30 GHz/1MB Cache/400MHz FSB); Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition; 30GB Ultra ATA Drive; and 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive. Incredibly, Dell does include wireless capacities in the form of a networking card.
HP Compaq nx9600 Notebook " HP's acquisition of Compaq has produced a nice line up of notebook PCs including this model aimed toward those consumers replacing their desktop computer. Retailing at only over $1300 [before $100 rebate] this midrange offering is nicely loaded as it offers a 17" screen; Microsoft Windows XP Pro Edition; an Intel Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading Technology; a 40 GB hard drive; a 12 cell battery; wireless connectivity; and graphics oriented software.
Sony VAIO FS675P/H Notebookspacer " The Sony Vaio name is often associated with high performing, highly priced offerings. The VAIO FS675P/H Notebookspacer is suitable as this workhorse ships at just under $2000. Chief features of this model are: an Intel Pentium M Processor 750 (1.86 Ghz); Microsoft Windows XP Pro; DVD R Double Layer/DVD -RW; 1GB RAM; and a 100GB drive. The screen is 15.4" Widescreen5 LCD with XBRITE Technology and all of Sony's top digital software for photography, audio and video are included as standard equipment.
All three models attract differing types of buyers, but each model is a standout in its respective class. Consumers are the winner when it comes to purchasing a laptop computer as prices continue to drop, new features are added, and technology improves with every new model promoted.

Does my CPU INFLUENCE FRAMRATES in games?
I have an 8800GTX OC, 2 gigs SUPERTALENT PC2(667)-5300, 3.0GHz 800MHz FSB Pentium D 925. My Motherboard is an ASRock ConRoe1333-D667.
I'm looking into buying a Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz 1333FSB processor
I'm more geared towards gaming (CRYSIS)
My question is: will me getting this new processor influence the framerates within the game(CRYSIS)?
Yes.
I did a recent benchmark with 3Dmark06.
I overlocked my cpu 10%, and checked the results.
I overclocked my gpu 10% and compared.
I actually got better score, fps, and performance out of the cpu overclock. Although, one game has higher fps, the 10% gpu overclock was slightly better in this, mre than likely because of the less processor usage and/or bottleneck.
If it is a game that is slowing down your pc, and requires a large amount of data and graphics. Then yes, you will see a pretty substantial inscrease. If you are already getting +60 fps, then I wouldnt expect too much.
Like the one person said. A CPU demanding game will improve by more, than a GPU demanding game.
Small moving things like RTS are more cpu. First person shooters are more gpu. Although Crysis is a very demanding game, you could use all the help you can get. If you are getting 30 fps now, I would imagine an increase to +40, maybe even in the 50's. Let me know, I'd love to hear your results.
Either way, it's a nice upgrade, and a decent improvement. Go for it.
