Itanium 2 or Intel® Core™2 processor?
which processor is good and why? i cant decide between does 2 above processors and i need others opinion so i would be greatful if u can give ur opinion on this one.thx

You have absolute no clue what you are talking about, frankly. The Itanium is a high-end, albeit rather pathetic, server processor coming in at several thousand dollars. The Itanium 2 is Dual-Core, and cannot put put in a socket as most consumer processors. The Core 2 is the first line of Intel dual-core processors from roughly 4 years ago. The Core 2 Duo line is what is being phased out now. Either way, neither is a good choice, and I'd recommend getting an i3 530 or an AMD Athlon X2 550.
So both suck. That's my opinion, and pretty much the fact of the matter. Let's put it this way: you're not getting an Itanium unless you buy a high-end, $15,000 server from HP, and the Core 2 is not even being sold retail anymore since it's that old.
