Got a new PC kit. Unfortunately, when i put the windows xp cd in the dvd drive nothing happens.
Once the computer is turned on, it displays the processor screen and then beeps and then the screen is all black except for a blinking white line at the top left.
Any suggestions?
i can't get into the bios.
Andy's right. change the boot order to CD drive as first priority and HDD as second.
keep pressing Delete or Esc when you turn on the PC. it will take you to the BIOS. if it doesn't, then something's totally messed up. try checking everything's mounted right.
